In July each year, the Festival of Marble and Sculpture takes place in Saint-Béat.
If the Marble and Sculpture Festival has already given birth to new vocations and passions, it has also become an inescapable rendezvous on the roads of the Comminges.
It is now one of the essential events of the region, visited by thousands of people, whom we welcome with great pleasure in Saint Béat.
The concept: a privileged moment of encounter between sculptors and the public. The sculptors will create works from the St Béat marble in the streets of the village. There is a symposium, exhibitions and a chance to stroll through the medieval village, to discover a dozen works posed in the streets and alleys for the pleasure of the visitors. There are workshops for the sculpture of marble, stone and one dedicated to the realisation of bronze works, which are proposed to amateurs by undisputed masters in their field.
Putting art within reach of everyone, sharing with you a little of our passion, these are the motivations that guide the association Marbre et Arts to lead you on the trail of sculpture.
